China's books appeared at the 11th Baku International Book Fair

The 11th Baku International Book Fair opened on October 1st in Baku Expo Center, the capital of Azerbaijan, and China's books once again appeared at Baku International Book Fair.

It is understood that there are 12 publishing houses in China with nearly 300 kinds of excellent books. The theme of China booth is "Reading China", and the books on display include themes, literature, social sciences, children's classes, language learning, etc., which mainly reflect the traditional cultural characteristics of China and show the social development achievements of China in the new era.

At the book fair, some foreign publishers consulted about copyright cooperation at the booth in China, and many Azerbaijani parents and teenagers browsed Chinese learning materials such as "40 Basic Chinese Lessons".

Nigar Aliyeva, a 25-year-old Azerbaijani girl, is visiting Baku International Book Fair for the first time, and she can't put it down for the painted version of China Fairy Tales in China booth. "I am very interested in the picture books of China exhibited this time. I hope there will be more books introducing China Kung Fu and tea culture in the future."

On the 1st, the China booth held a "Reunion of Home and Country"-a retrospective exhibition commemorating the centenary of the first publication of Zikai Comics and the opening ceremony of the cultural activities of the scholarly Baku China booth. East China Normal University Press presented by nursing students and other books painted by Feng Zikai to the Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan Language University.

The Baku International Book Fair is hosted by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and will last until the 7th. The theme of the book fair is "Technology and Humanities: Yesterday's Dream, Today's Trend". In 2024, China's books made their debut at Baku International Book Fair.
